Letter from Mr H. E Turner asking the Council to accept Five Pounds as Compensation from Mr Correll on Allotment 553 Clerk stated that he had accepted the pffer of 5/-/- made by Mr Turner on the said allotment on conditions That Mr Correll pay all costs of Transfer & Ect re same

Meeting held 21/5/15 Continued Petition From G Owen & others asking that the road in Baltimore St from the Railway to the Intersection of Stevenson St be put in repairs. Moved by Cr Garrett. That the Petition stand over till July meeting & That 4 chs of Grubbing as suggested by Cr Hartley be done, 2nd by Cr Morgan. carried
W.H Application From W.J. Blackers Estate for 1½ Miles Netting Resolved that the 1915 Instalment must be paid before the application would be granted Application to be sent on to S G. & That the Clerk write applicant re old netting on Blks 35 & 47 Hd Mitchell.
Moved by Cr Garrett. That the Clerk write I. J. Williams for Particulars of netting He received from Fitzgerald & That the overseer Inspect & report on amount of netting erected on Jas Malcombe land Sect 116 Hd Lincoln 2nd by Cr Hall. Carried.
Councillor Hall Asked That the road opposite Main Street in Cummins be grubbed. Also That the Kerbing of Footpath & Water table be completed at Yeelanna. Also asked That Creek near Mrs McNeils be repaired H H Rice had offered to repair same at 4/-/- Resolved that work be let to Mr Rice. Also asked That 2 pieces pf 5 chs each be metalled on the Main Road towards Yullanda Flat Resolved that the metalling stand over.

Cr Hartley Asked that the Street mans wages be raised to 9/- per day ( To Stand over for July meeting )
Moved by Cr Hartley. That the Council recognize the good work done by H. O'Brien on the streets & Lamp Lighting 2nd by Cr Garrett. carried.
Cr Hartley Asked if the Footpath near McFarlanes had been done. Also stated That a Committee had been formed to fence & Plant Trees in portion of Flinders Square.
Cr Hartley Moved that the following resolution be sent to the Minister of Defence. That this Council desires to express its deep sympathy with the relatives of those lost by the sinking of the Lusitania 2nd by Cr Morgan. Carried
Cr Morgan Asked that G Owens Contract on DB Main road be raked in & reRolled ( O/S to attend to same)
Cr O'Shanahan Asked that Tenders be called for 50 chains of Forming & Gravelling on the Meadows Creek Rd.
Elections. Clerk stated that the Annual Elections were approaching & That Crs Garrett. O'Shanahan & Puckridge retired by effluxion of time. Also WH J Seddon as Auditor.
Moved by CR Hall. That I O Jacobs be appointed Returning Officer for the forthcoming Election at a Fee of 10/10/- 2nd by Cr Puckridge. Carried

Moved by Cr Garrett. That the Clerk prepare a list of ratepayers for each ward where an election would be held by the 1st of June, & post same to each ward & a complete list of all works at a later date. 2nd by Cr Hartley. Carried
Polling Places Resolved that the following be the Polling places in each Ward. Lincoln Ward Council Chambers, Louth Ward. North Shields Hall, Mitchell Ward Mount Hope Hall.
Moved by Cr Garrett, That a poll for Auditors be taken in each ward where an Election was held 2nd by Cr Hall. Carried.
Overseers Report was then read.
Moved by Cr Hall. That the report be adopted with the exception of 40 chains of metalling mentioned in the report for Yeelanna Road & That 50 chs of Rubbelling be done in liey of the 40 chs of metal 2nd by Cr Puckridge. Carried
Cr Hartley Asked if Cr Hall could give the Council any information regarding Cummins Severance, Cr Hall stated that the matter was now before the Com of Crown Lands.
Tenders were then opened & considered.
