Mi hermano y yo hemos iniciado observaciones visuales de todas las variables al sur de -30°, de 12 h a 24 h, y algunas fuera de estos límites. En algunos casos, debido a la debilidad del objeto y la falta de cartas exactas de la región, la identificación es difícil. En los casos en los que disponemos de cartas fotográficas con el objeto marcado toda la dificultad desaparece.
He reservado el 13'' y estoy examinando las estrellas más brillantes de 18h a 24h en busca de dobles. Como el "seeing" es pobre el último de la noche, no he podido nada con Marte todavía.
He comenzado los reparaciones en el laboratorio, un poco antes de lo que esperaba, pero no interferirá con nuestro trabajo y será una gran ventaja, cuando esté terminado.
Para la universidad de Arequipa, creo que sería interesante una copia del volumen de los anales, Vol. 8, con las ilustraciones, y cualquier otro ilustrado. Para las fotografías, yo aumentaría la luna en el primer cuarteto, una ampliación de algún cúmulo fino o nebular y una media docena pequeña de espectros y otros objetos interesantes.

My brother and I have begun visual observations of all the variables south of -30°, froma 12 h to 24 h, and some outside of thes limits. Insome cases, swing to the faintness of the object and the lack of exact charts of the region, the identification is difficult. In those cases in wich we have photopraphis charts with the object marked all difficulty is removed.
I have reserved the 13'' and am examining the brighter stars from 18h to 24h for doubles. As the "seeing" is poor the last of the night, I have not been able to anything with Mars yet.
I have begun the rapirs on the laboratory, a little earlier than I expected, but it will not interfere with our work and will be a great advantage, when completed.
For the university of Arequipa, I think that a copy of the volume of the annals, Vol. 8, with the illustrations, would be interesting, and any other illustrated ones. For photographs, I woull auggest the moon at first quarte, an enlargement of some fine cluster or nebular and a half dozen small ones of spectra an other interesting objects.
