The New Year is shaping up to be an exciting time for Herron Morton residents. We have completed our program calender for the upcoming year and here is a preview:

JANUARY 2 ANDY JACOBS - HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. Excellent opportunity to meet your Congressman one on one.

FEBRUARY 6 TREVA JONES, METHODIST HOSPITAL. Ms. Jones will discuss with us the "Healthy Heart". Her program will feature a slide presentation and handouts with low calorie recipes.

MARCH 6 DICK CRUM, MARION COUNTY EXTENSION AGENT will get us in the mood for spring planting. His program will include tips on soil preparation and correct planting procedures. Our Beautification Committee will also have pictures of the various flowers they will be selling on Flower Planting Day.

APRIL 3 BILL MCKNIGHT, INDIANA STATE MUSEUM will present a program on "Interiors and Furniture 1880-1920. Be sure to bring a picture for the question and answer session.

MAY 1 PAUK DIEBOLD, INDIANA STATE DEPARTMENT OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION will discuss architectural styles at the turn of the century. He is going to use slides and hopefully will have some of our neighboorhood showing us the different styles used in our area.

JUNE 5 DWIGHT STEININGER, NASHVILLE ARTIST will demonstrate the fine art of oil painting. This is a fantastic opportunity to see a real artisan at work. At the end of the program we will hold a drawing and some lucky person in the audience will win the painting.

JULY 3 NEIGHBORHOOD PICNIC - GOOD FOOD, GAMES, VOLLEYBALL, A GOOD TIME FOR ALL

AUGUST 7 LARRY CONRAD, SIMON AND ASSOCIATES will help us look at Downtown Indianapolis of the future. Mr. Conrad is a "cheerleader" for Indianapolis and is a speaker you will not want to miss.

Mark your calenders now for these exciting programs. All of our featured speakers have consented to a question and answer session. And, as usual, refreshments will be served following the program for a time of social gathering and conversation with your neighbors.
