success, and many men who were present at the meetings were full of admiration for the speeches they heard there. We do thank you for thinking of sending books for the children, I am sure they will read them with pleasure, when they can.

After the wet and cold summer, we had a beautiful sunny autumn, the winter is quite pleasant, since yesterday we have at last snow.

The children have much to learn now, George and Marika have not been able to go out for several days,
