My dear lovely ideal

I really wanted to write before and express the great appreciation and obligations that I feel for all the delightful kindnesses and the valuable knowledge that I enjoyed and gained under the sunshine of your enlightening presence in your ideal home, but unfortunately I did not have the time. the depot so I took room in it untill I could send word to my friends to meet me. After two hours Mr. Ainslie came to see me and take me home with him, but I was so very tired and suffering from a severe headache, that I could not go. That evening I was visited in the parlors of the hotel by Mr. Bryan who is not a resident here and the cavalry club and truly they were very chivalrous and gallant to honour me so much by their visit and then by a resolution of thanks signed by the president and sect. for my interest in their work

Well the next morning Mr. Ainslie with his sister came to take me to their home and while speaking about my lectures Mrs. Sproull called and after speaking upon many things she told me that it would be more advisable and advantagious to stay at the hotel, first because it is a very elegand aristocratice place and second that people who would like to call on me would find it easier to come to the hotel and she said on all account it will have a better effect in the city if you stay at the hotel. Having placed myself under her management I had to do what she advised and indeed the hotel is one of the best swell kind and very expansive too.

Bryan about his bing a patron of the Council. He said that he would like you to consider him one already and he was only waiting for an opportunity to write you a beautiful letter 'the best you have ever received' and enclose his patronage fee. I hope that you will not be displeased with me for staying at the hotel and really I found that it is very advantagous to have a good introduction to the best people.
