Cambridge, Feb 18. 1898

My dear Mrs. Sewall:

I start for Elmira tomorrow morning, and shall probably reach Indianapolis either on Monday evening or some time Tuesday. As it would hardly be fair to tresspas on your hospitatly for so long a time, I shall go first to a hotel; but may call at your house Tuesday forenoon for posible mail or telegrams which I have directed

I am to go to Marion, Indiana, for a lecture on Thursday evening, and thence home. The two engagements at Elmira and Marion, though not very renumerative, will perhaps enable me to divide the travelling expenses with the Contemporary Club. I have found it impossible to effect other arragements for lectures at this short notice.
