may be extend nearly an inch,
tho^ so fine as not to be visible to ye
naked eye, & yn contact, & [reach?]
to ye anthera. By this means
ye particles of polen are re?
prevented from falling to ye
ground, or being blown away
by ye wind before untill they have
performed ye office.

It is a most eligent little
flowering shrub about 18 inch
or 2 feet high — much branched
forming a kind of corymbus,
not perfectly even on ye top.
