Sir

I beg to [directme?]
herewith an application to the
[Hegth] the Mnister for the [miment] and
[Bethorion] from Mr. [Seth?] Walker
an employee at the Newcastle
Hatchery, for an increase in his
salary.

Mr. Walker expressed his
desire that the application should
be forwarded to the Minister by me
and that I would be pleased to
offer my views to your Department
as to his character, and [offering?]
as an officer connected with
the specialty of Artificial Fish
Culture.

I have therefore to state
to your Dept. with much pleasure
that Mr Walker is fairly entitled
to an increase in his salary. as
the one he now received is barely
sufficient to maintain himself

the Dept of Fisheries in Ottawa
that instructions were sent to
you to obstain any information
possible regarding the spawning
time of the White fish in certain
parts of Manitoba -- In this
view of the matter suggestions
[?] from by the Dept for you
to carry out which specimens are
bow ment going practical application
at your hamster.

I am also expected by
the Minister to supplement the
Memorandums that you with any'
suggestions which I think will
factsteak the object to have in views.
