Sir,

Referring to the subject
of deepening the ponds at this
Establishment for Carp Breeding
purposes: I beg to say that I have
had the opinion of a practical
man who after looking at the
ponds is willing to undertake
the work of deepening them, by the
use of Leamur and Manfred at the
price of $3.00 per drains. He will
not undertake the matter by any
decided contract as it would be
impossible to form a correct estimate
of the work required, as the ponds
are at present situated.

I think therefore should
your Dept. feel disposed to proceed
with the work of fitting up the ponds
for Carp purposes, it would be well
to commence at once, at one of the
ponds say the uppermost one,
that it would be made ready
as tiost time becomine comes
Yoursay or other carp their uuse
