urge that timely notice should
be given them to make the
necessary alterations in nets and
other fishing gear suitable to
catching the Salmon without
injuring them as would be the
case in the ordinary meshed nets.

If your Department
has not yet considered this
matter, I would most respectfully
urge immediate attention to it
by authorizing Mr. Alex Mowat
to make the necessary contracts
with the fishermen: -- or by in
starting me to have the work
done.

I shall regret very deeply
indeed any drawback which
may interfere with the progress
in the Restigouche Hatchery, during
the coming season.
