Sir

I wired you today to
"make all necessary arrangements
" with net fishermen to get sufficient
"Parent Salmon to fill hatchery with
"Eggs dont delay: also send on trout
"Eggs immediately"

Upon receipt of your
former letter about [arranging?] with
fishermen, I wrote the Dept very
strongly on the subject-- and I
received this reply. "Mowat has
"unrestricted authority to make
"such arrangements last season
"as would ensure procuring parent
"fish to fill hatchery, but was only
"partially successful"

"You are now authourized
"(meaning myself) to take such steps
"as will this season secure all the
"parent salmon that may be
"required; as the hatchery is now
"in full operation it is desirable
"that a full supply of Eggs shall
be procured"
