of nets etc not take place.

The intermixing (as it were)
of the present unique and valuable
specimens of fish mounted by
taxidermy, and preserved in alcohol,
along with Boats, Nets, fishing gear,
and the common appliances in fishery
matters, would greatly nullify
the particular object for which a
complete Fish-Museum is intended
to cover.

This would be more particularly
felt with many of the collections
now on hand as standing in the
foremost position for superiority
at the Great International Exhibition
London 1883, and the Colonial
Exhibition 1886, and thus entitling
the collection to a proper display
in the Canadian Fish-Museum.

Having devoted much
time, and special care in collecting,
and mounting many of the above
specimens, and some of the appliances,
and machinery now on hand; and
feeling deeply interested on behalf
of your Department that the present
building lately secured for a
Fish Museum, and for practical
