B.B. Converse Esq
Dear Sir
Your note of yesterday
is received. The bill you return was
sent by request. April 16/76 Mr. G.S.
C. left an order here for "care" "plants"
and "top dressing" as per copy which I
enclose. As we graded & sodded your
lot this year we made no charge for
keepig the sod in order. The plants are
charge for. As the bill shows, the top dressing
is to be put on about Nov. 1. I think it
advisable to top dress the sod this fall, but
as it has not yet been done I can cancel
the order therefor If you so direct
I ought to be advised of your wishes
immediately
Very Respectfully

Mr. C.C. Thayer
Dear Sir
Your favor of
Oct 26 was received this a.m. by which
I understand that you wish the same care
&c, as formerly charged to Miss Thayer.
The myrtle or periwinkle is put on a
flat surface after the ground is prepared
for it and forms a slight mound by
its own growth in due time.
This I will have placed on the grave
in the spring, which is the best time for
the purpose
Very Respectfully
