J.M. Spelman Esq

Prest.

Dear Sir

The house, allowed for the use of the
Superintendent, has been unfit for work for sometime,
as you are aware, and I respectfully ask the Trustees to
allow me to procure another. I make the request at this
time, because I have reason to think that there is a
favorable opportunity to [dispose?] of the other houses in exchange.

I have [?] one of the cart [?] during the winter, a
[house?] not suitable for any use, and which will at any
rate be needed as soon as the spring work commences. In
past years the regular cart houses have not been enough to
carry on the ordinary work of the Cemetery, the grading [?]
the Stone farm not being included therein, at the busy seasons
of the year and it has been necessary to hire additional
[?].

Respecfuly
J.W. Lovering
