Mr. Edmund T. Slafter 11 Beacon St. B.

Dear Sir

The most advisable thing
to have done to lot 1151 Pine A. [Dorr?]. after
removing fence & stonework is for the grade to be
lowered a little. This would make by far
the most satisfactory job, & could be done for $75.00

The other [?] would be to make a gradual
slope of the banks that would remain all of
which last would cost $50.00 but we find
in our experience that a sodded bank is
a constant source of expense & annoyance
always out of repair & hardly every satisfactory
and therefore recommended in adoption o fthe
first plan, or that of lowering the grade of lot
to obviate banks. The price given covers all [expense?]
needed to leave the lot in good order

Very Respectfully
J.W. Lovering Supt
