[W.T.?] [E?] Esq

Dear Sir

I am in receipt of your favor of the 5th inst.
During the years 1874,5,6 and 7 the charges I find
on our books against you are in 1874 repairing sod
in graves [?] $2.10 and in 1877 care of the lot $3.75, for
which charges [Ive?] have ordered, & these orders are all
which have even been received here. The order for
care reads "to be continued until otherwise directed."

As to work being done by other parties, I can not
say, but as the rule of the corporation is to allow
no one to do work on a lot without written au-
thority from you, and as in this case no such
authority has been presented, the [parties?] had no
right to work there, if they did.

As to price, I belive the corporation generaly
charge less for the same quality of work other
any on eelse, this plan being to do the work for
the proprietors at as near actual cost as possible.

Yrs respectfuly
J.W. Lovering
