Jany 9 [187]8

Mr. Robt. Codman

Dear Sir

Your favor
of Jany 7 is at hand relating
to the repairs to the lot of late
P.B. Brigham

It was stipulated in
my letter of Oct 23 1877 to
Mrs Jacobs that we were
to have the fence and that
she was not to be credited
[?] and the estimate
was given with that understanding

Very Respectfully
J.W. Lovering Supt

R.K. Carpenter Esq

Dear Sir

In answer to your favor
in regard to the [?] lot #4482,
would say that the lot is exactly square
20 ft long by 20 ft wide; it is six feet (6
from the avenue line, & the border curb
on the avenue line must be cut to set
within this distance.

The lot falls from back to front (9) [?]
inches & is at the entrance (10) ten inches
above the avenue grade, which grade I
have agreed with Mrs [Munure?] is not to
be altered.

The plan shown me proposed to include
the lot & borders without marking the front line
of the lot, except by the entrance posts. This I
told her could be done, provided small
parts were placed level with the sod at
the front corners of the lot.

Ys truly J.W. Lovering
