Millard Farr Esq
Dr Sir
In regard to the rate for hauling
the ashes I can not inform you today, but hope to
do so tomorrow.
I shall send Mr Hale to attend to the measuring on
our part, he being a [?] weighs & measurer.
I am unwilling to take the ashes delivered on the cars
in Boston as you proposed last night, but will take them
delivered at McDonalds Wharf as at first proposed, or at
Fresh Pond or McDonald's side track on the Fitchburg R.R. at
the measurement they turn out from the cars, as checked by
our measurer.
Before any is sent, I want to know the Exact price
at which you understand you are to deliver them at
one of the places manned above, [?] to pay all [?]
from Boston & any track charges.
Yrs truly
J.W. Lovering
Supt.
