Your letter of 22^d inst is
received. We do not recommend any stone
cutters as we are not allowed to become in any
way responsible for this work. Messrs Broker Torrey & Co.
O.M. Wentworth and others of Boston and Messrs
A.M^cDonald & Co. and John M^cNamee and others of
Cambridge Mass. put in more or less work here and
so far as I know give general satisfaction. I think,
without knowing very much about the matter that you
would need to be more explicit in directions than in
your letter. You could have the stone cut in
Brooklyn or elsewhere and have it shipped by
[?] to me and I would have it properly set
with a foundation upon your oder to do the same

I shall be pleased to hear further from you or to
render you any assistance that I may be able to
