I am going to begin
at once on the grading in the rear
of your lot and on the side [area?]
of you are now [disposed?] to have
the grade changed somewhat, you
can make a favorable arrangement
with us and at the same time
have the tree removed and the border
of the lot on the side graded & [turfed?].
Please let me hear from you as
soon as convenient, or see the foreman

Dear Sir

A large piece of
land has lately been enclosed
with the cemetery in the rear
of your lot, and in finishing this
up, it has become desirable to
change the grade of your lot a
little as well as of the lots on
each side of you. I consider that
the change will greatly improve
your lot, and as I am now beginning
work there^[about?]^, I would be glad to
know if you would have any
objection to having the grade changed
viz lowered not over 18 inches. Either myself
