Dear Sir

I have received the bills on lots #[3430?]
(Foster) and on your own lot #4383.

I find on examination that the rates charged for
work on lot #3430 agree exactly with the orders.

In regard to lot #4383, the order for care is given at
$4.00, you have been charged $2.75 the price fixed by the
trustees for lots of the size of yours for 1878.

The charge for myrtle is the usual one and also for the
ten roses &c

I notice on the back of your bill you have made up the
price for heliotrope & tea roses @ $1.50 pr. dozen. Of course
the rate for plants ($1.50 pr. dozen) on our order cards only applies
to such kinds so we keep on hand & raise. When proprie-
etors order [vanisters?] that we do not keep, but have to
send outside for, of course we have to charge accordingly.

No top dressing was ordered on your lot for 1878, but it
will be best [?] if you will send at order $1.75 I have sent
the order to the Treasurer office, where you can see them if
you desire

Yrs very truly
J.W. Lovering
