The bright [Anvicula Whold?]
With China's Rose of glowing red
Gently its tender leaves unfold
And on my heart their fragrance shed.

For ah! they told a tale of Love,
Expression of its highest pow'rs.
Lifes dreary Winter to improve,
And crown Novembers self with flowers-

To Mrs Tarleton

Oppress'd by Pain, by Care oppress'd
As late my weary Couch I prest,
And sought the balmy Power:
Sudden a Sylph like Form arose,
Crown'd by each various Flower that blows,
In Fancy's fairy bower.-
