Fudge. (A. S. B.)
2 squares chocolate
melted in boiling
water.
3 cups sugar
1 cup milk or 1/2 cup
of water + 1/2 cup milk
Boil until it make[?]
a very soft ball.
Put pan in cold
water until fudge
is partly cooled.
Beat constantly,
stirring in butter
the size of a large
hickory nut.
Pour into buttered
plates when thick
