Ald. McIntyre moves seconded by Ald. Smith

That Aldermen Drennan, Redden, Muckleston
Thompson, McGuire Downing and McIntyre be a
Committee to strike the standing Committees for the year
which being put was [underline]lost[/underline] yeas 9 nays 12 - and the original motion
was [underline]carried[/underline]

The Council here adjourned for fifteen minutes
The Councl met at half past 12 OClock pursuant to
adjournment. All the members present except Ald. McKay

The Chairman from the Select Committee to
strike the standing Committees for the year brought
up a Report (Number 443 Book E.) which was read
and adopted

A Communication from George A. Kirkpatrick Esquire
Secretary Board of Trustees Collegiate Institute was read
stating the Hon. Dr. Sullivan and Dr. L. Clements are the
retiring members of the Board.

Ald. Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald. Harty

That Robert J. Gardiner Esquire and Dr. Chamberlin
A. Irwin be the Trustees on the Board of The Collegiate
Institute on behalf of the Council in place of the retiring
members

In amendment 1st

Ald. McIntyre moves seconded by Ald. McGuire

That Senator Sullivan and Dr. Clements be reappointed
trustees for the Collegiate Institute from this Council - which
being put was [underline]lost[/underline]

Yeas - Aldermen Drennan, Hobart, Muckleston, McGuire
McIntyre, W. Robinson, Shannon, Smith, Snowden

Nays - The Mayor, Aldn. Downing, Gildersleeve, Harty
Hiscock, Phelan, Redden, Rees C. Robinson, Thompson

In amendment 2nd

Ald. McIntyre moves seconded by Ald. McGuire

That Senator Sullivan and Dr. Irwin be appointed
Trustees from this Council to the Collegiate Institute which
being put was [underline]lost[/underine]. Yeas 10 Nays 11 - (similar vote to above)
the original motion being put was [underline]carried[/underline]

On motion the Council adjourned
