Ald. Hiscock brought up the petition of M. A. Masse asking
to be allowed to run the Roller Skating Rink without paying a License
therefon - Referred to the Committee on Licenses

Ald. Thompson brought up the petition of Mrs John Powers
and two others asking for a drain on Montreal street - Referred to
the Committee on Streets

Ald. C. Robinson brought up the petition of Elizabeth
Bruce praying to be relieved from the payment of water tax -
Referred to the Committee on Fire Water and Gas

Ald. McIntyre brought up the petition of John McKee for
praying reasonable Compensation may be granted to him by the
City for injuries sustained by him owing to alleged defective
side walk. Referred to the Committee on Streets

Ald. McIntyre from the Committee on Finance and
accounts brought up a Report (Number 445 Book E.) which
was read and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (Number 446 Book E.) which
was received and adopted

On motion of Ald. Thompson seconded by Ald. Redden

Ordered, That the names of Aldermen McIntyre, Wm
Robinson and Drennan be added to the Committee on
Licenses

On motion of Ald. Shannon seconded by Ald. Gildersleeve

Ordered, That Ald. Muckleston and Ald. McIntyre
be a Committee to interview the Premier and the Ministry of
Militia upon the claims of the City of Kingston to the
establishment of the proposed Cavalry School within
the limits of this City

On motion of Ald. McIntyre seconded by Ald. Hobart

Odred, That Alderman Harty be appointed
Director of the Kingston and Pembroke Railway Company
from this Council and that he in Cooperation with the City
Solicitor be empowered to take such action as shall be
necessary to ensure the recognition of the City's rights to a
Director in case the same be attempted to be ignored by the
Company.

On motion of Ald. Shannon seconded by Ald. Thompson

Ordered, That the Court of Revision to hear Complaints
with respect to and in Connection with the proposed assessments
respectively for the Cost, so payable, of the Construction of the local
improvement sewers in Alfred, Colborne and Earl streets and
of any other work constructed, under construction or to be constructed
under the Local improvement clauses of the Act respecting Municipal
Institutions and Amending Acts shall be the new Court of Revision
of this municipality and be similarly Constituted with the
duties and powers as provided by law in that behalf.

Ordered, That an address be sent to Her Majesty
The Queen Congratulating her upon the attainment of the
fiftieth
