On motion of Ald. Muckleston seconded by Ald. Redden

Ordered That the Mayor, Aldermen Gildersleeve
McIntyre, Rees, Wilmot with the mover and seconder be a
Committee to Confer with the Committees appointed by County
Council and Kingston Board of Trade respecting the removal
of Toll Gates from this County

On motion of Ald. Gildersleeve seconded by Ald. Thompson

Ordered, That the Mayor Aldermen Harty, Gildersleeve
McIntyre and Ex Mayor Whiting be a Special Committee
to proceed to Toronto in respect of the legislature for Consolidating
the City debt.

On motion the Council adjourned

A Communication from the Womens Christian Temperance
Union was read asking for the appointment of a Police Matron -
Referred to the Police Commissioners

Communications from Messrs Allen & Son and Professor
Samual A. King Re Balloon ascensions were read and referred to
Celebration Committee

A Communication from A. Davenwood was read Re
Transient Traders License - Referred to the Committee on
Licenses

A Communication from Messrs Britten and Whiting was
read respecting Dr. Agnews Taxes - Referred to the Committee
on Finance.

Communications from D. McIntyre Esquire Barrister on
behalf of James H. Metcalfe M. P. P. Messrs Britton and Whiting on
behalf of Ira A. Brick Esquire and William S. Gordon City
Commissioner in reference to state of Nuisance ground. Referred
to the Committee on City Property & Local Board of Health
