On motion of Ald. Muckleston seconded by Ald. Shannon
Ordered, That the Mayor and City Council attend
meeting at Queens College on Thursday evening April 21st
Ald. McIntyre from the Committee on Finance and
accounts brought up a Report (Number 452 Book E.) which
was read and adopted
Ald. McIntyre from the Committee On Finance and
accounts brought up a second Report (Number 453 Book E.)
which was read and adopted
The Chairman from the Committee On Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (Number 454 Book E.)
which was read
Ald. Thompson moves seconded by Ald. Drennan
That the report of the Committee on Streets & Improvements
be received and adopted
In amendment
Ald. Downing moves seconded by Ald. Wilson
That the Tenders of Mr. Hutton and of Mr. Asselstine be
accepted being the lowest - which being put was [underline]lost[/underline] and
the original Motion was [underline]carried[/underline]
The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water and
Gas brought up a Report (455 Number Book E.) which was
read and adopted
The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas

and adopted
The Chairman from the Committee on City Property brought
up a Report (Number 457 Book E.) which was received and
adopted.
The Chairman from the Select Commitee on The Queens
Jubilee brought up a Report (Number 458 Book E.) which was
read
On motion of Ald. Shannon seconded by Ald. Harty
Ordered, That the report of the Special Committee appointed
to draw up an address to Her Majesty the Queen be received
and adopted; and that the address accompanying such report
be engrossed and illuminated on Vellum; and that the Clerk
be authorised to have the engrossment done and to forward the
address to the proper authorities to be presented to Her Majesty.
On motion of Ald. McIntyre seconded by Ald. McGuire
Ordered, That this Council go into Committee of the whole on
the 3rd reading of the By Law respecting the Municipal Assessment
of the City of Kingston
The Council went into Committee of the whole Accordingly

The Council Resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the third reading
of the By Law [underline]lost[/underline] - The Report was received
