Ald. Shannon from the Committee On Finance and
accounts brought up a Report (Number 459 Book E.)
which was read and adopted
On motion of Ald. Thompson seconded by Ald. Muckleston
Ordered, That the Finance Committee be requested to
provide the sum of Ten thousand dollars to be placed to the
Credit of the Committee on Streets and Improvements for general
purposes
The Chairman from the Committee on City Property
brought up a Report (Number 460 Book E.) which was read
and adopted as amended
The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water and Gas
brought up a report (Number 461 Book E.) which was read
and adopted
The Chairman from the Select Committe on the letter
of Lt. Col. Macpherson relative to proposed visit of Fort Guards
brought up a Report (Number 462 Book E.) which was read
On motion of Ald. Gldersleeve seconded by Ald. Muckleston
Ordered, That the Report be amended and that the Finance
Committee be requested to provide two hundred dollars for
a Luncheon on the Queens Birth day for the Governor Generals
Fort Guards and the fourteenth Princess of Wales own Regiment
On motion the Council adjourned

A Circular from Mr P. Lett Esquire, City Clerk Ottawa
was read - respecting resolution adopted by the House of Commons
in reference to Bill before the Imperial Partiament for the better
prevention of Crime in Ireland- there was no action taken thereon
A Communication from James Agnew City Solicitor was
read respecting Act to extend operation of land title act
