A Communication from E. R. Bailey respecting Taxes
was submitted and referred to the Court of Revision

A Report from W. S. Gordon City Commissioner was
read respecting premises occupied by the Pound and the
state of same - Referred to the Committee on Parks

Ald. Thompson brought up the petition of William
Dunn and eleven others asking for a sewer on Brock
street from Barrie to Division street according to regulations
annexed - Referred to the Committee on Streets.

Ald. Gildersleeve brought up the petition of William
Ferguson and 83 others asking the Council to make an
appropriation for the proper Celebration of Her Majestys
Julibee either on the anniversary of her accession or on
next Dominion day

On motion of Ald. Gildersleeve seconded by Ald. Thompson

Ordered, That the sum of five hundred dollars be
appropriated to a Celebration of this the Jubilee year of her Majestys

Ald. Harty from the Committee On Finance and accounts
brought up a Report (Number 465 Book [strikeout]E.[/strikeout] F.) which was
read and adopted

The Chairman from theCommittee on Streets brought
up a Report (Number 466 Book [strikeout]E.[/strikeout] F.) which was read and
adopted

Aldermen McIntyre, Harty, Muckleston, Gildersleeve and
Drennan here left

Aldn Wilson & Phelan also left

The Committee of the whole on the Coal By Law resumed
