Ordered, That Edward Ruddy be appointed as City Scavenger under
By Law as now read

On motion of Ald. Harty seconded by Ald. Thompson

Ordered, That the report of the Committee on Finance
and accounts passed to night be reconsidered and that the
amount voted for payment of Collegiate Institute Salaries
and accounts be increased to $1500.

On motion the Council adjourned

The Clerk read the minutes of the two last meetings

A Communication from James Agnew Esquire, City Solicitor
was read Re Award Water Works.

A Communication from Mrs. Esther Main was read
claiming damages for property injured - Referred to the
Committee on Streets

A Communicaiton from Samuel S. Phippen Secretary
Kingston Public Schools was read enclosing estimate of amount
required by the Board of Public School Trustees for the
current year. Referred to Committee on Finance

A Communication from Wm H. Sullivan Esquire
was read asking that an order be made directing the
Chamberlain to pay over for the future the percentages collected
on separate School taxes - Referred to the Committee on
Finance

A Communication from Frank C. Ireland, City
Treasurer was read - Re Water Works Cos a/c against
the City and its Charges yearly. Referred to the Committee
on Finance

A Communication from Mr George K. McCandless
was read respecting objections to the Gospel tent on Cricket
ground - Referred to the Committee on Parks
