On motion of Ald. Muckleston seconded by Ald. Hobart

Ordered, That the Mayor by authorised to proceed
to Toronto with the Deputation from the Midland
Agricultural Association to interview authorities
of Provincial Exhibition.

Ald. Thompson introduced a By Law to fix
the places in each Ward in the City of Kingston where
the nomination of candidates for the office of Alderman
shall take place and to appoint Returning Officers to
hold said nominations - which was read a first
time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading

The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause as
amended. The report was received.

The 30th Rule was again suspended and the By Law
was read a third time and passed.

Ald. Thompson introduced a By Law to appoint
Deputy Returning Officers and places for holding the
next ensuing Municipal Elections for the City of Kingston
which was read a first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading.

Ald. Swift in the Chair.

The Council resumed.

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause as
amended. The Report was received.

The 30th Rule was again suspended and the By
Law was read a third time and passed.

On motion the Council adjourned
