From Benjamin W. Robertson tendering his resignation
as a member of the Board Collegiate Trustees.

On motion of Ald. Gildersleeve seconded by Ald. McIntyre

Ordered, That Professor N. F Dupuis be appointed
Trustee of the Collegiate Institute in place of B. W. Robertson
Esquire resigned.

From The Hon. George A Kirkpatrick, Chairman
Board of Trustees Collegiate Institute Re appointment of Trustees
in place of the retiring members G. A. Kirkpatrick and E.J.B. Pense

On motion of Ald. McIntyre seconded by Ald. Gaskin

Ordered, That the Honorable George A Kirkpatrick
and E.J.B. Pense be appointed Trustees of the Collegiate Institute
from this council.

A Communication from Henry Bawden stating that
M Joshua Legge President of the Agricultural and Arts
Association is a candidate for the postion of Director to the
Board from District No 3. _ Referred to the City clerk

Ald. McIntyre brought up the petition of [strikethrough] John [/strikethrough]
William Briden asking permission to remove a small
frame house from Westerly limits of City to a lot owned by him.

On motion of Ald. McIntyre seconded by Ald. Swift

Ordered, That the petition of William Briden be
granted under the supervision of the City Engineers

Ald. McIntyre brought up the petition of Felix Donelly
for a remission of taxes _ Referred to the Court of Revision

On motion of Ald. Hiscock seconded by Ald. Fenwick

Ordered, That the City Engineer examine the King
street break-water and report at the next meeting of the Council
the probable cost of repairing the same.

Ald. Wilmot introduced a By Law to appoint a
Local Board of Health which was read a first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading.

The Council resumed

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause _ the
Report was received.

The By Law was read a third time and passed.

Ald. Harty introduced a By Law to appoint
Auditors for the year 1888 which was read a first time.

The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the Whole in the second reading.

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
