A meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston
was held this day Present

His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen

Adams, Dunlop, Fenwick, Gaskin, Gildersleeve, Harty
Hiscock, Miller, Minnes, Muckleston, McCammon
Polson, Redden, C. Robinson, W. Robinson, Shannon
Swift, Wilmot, Wilson

The Clerk read the Minutes of the last meeting

A Circular from the Municipal Council of the Town of
Lindsay was read calling attention to the necessity of certain
changes in the Municipal Law system and soliciting Co-operation
in asking changes asked.

On Motion of Ald. Shannon seconded by Ald. Harty.

Ordered, That the Mayor Messrs Harty, Gaskin, McIntyre
and the mover be a Committee to Co-operate with the Corporation of
Lindsay with regard to proposed amendments in the Municipal
Act

Communications were read as follows: _

From James Agnew City Solicitor. Re Taxes Street Railway
Company.

From J. H Metcalfe M.P.P acknowledging receipt of petitions
and stating he presented them

From A. H Blackeby Sec'y Labor Commission conveying
thanks to Council.

From A Stafford and Henry Brown _ Re Salvation Army Annoyance
Referred to Committee on City Property.

From W. L. Gordon City Commissioner stating a Pound
is required close to the Hay Market _ Referred to the
Committee on City Property

From A. F. Newlands Secy & Treasr Teachers association
asking for a remission of Rent of Hall _ Referred to the
Committee On City Property.

Ald. Wilmot brought up the petition of A. McConaghey
and 15 others asking to have a street opened from Pine
street Northerly to the North limit of lot No 16 say 40 feet
wide. Referred to the Committee on Streets.

Ald. Hiscock brought up the petition of Napolean La Rose
and 14 others asking that Wades lane be opened to Young
street. Referred to the Committee on Streets

Ald. C. Robinson from Sarah Carson asking to be
allowed for maintenance of child. Referred to the
Committee On Finance.

Ald. Harty from the Committee On Finance and
accounts brought up a Report (Number 502 Book F)
which was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee On Streets brought
up a Report ( No 503 Book [F]) which was read and adopted as
amended.
