The Clerk read the Minutes of the last meeting
A Communication from Messrs Kirkpatrick [insert] with Mssr W. S. Gordon [/insert] and Rogers was read
Re Kingston & P. Railway Co. is Abbott Taxes _ Referred to the
Finance Committee
A Communication from James Agnew City Solicitor was read
Re MP E Malone Taxes _ Referred to the Finance Committee.
A communication from L.L. Phippen was read asking for a sum
of $2050 be placed to the credit of the Board of Public Schools on account
of capital. Referred to the Committee on Finance.
Ald. Wilmot brought up the petition of W.J. Savage
stating he is desirous of making alterations on property
known as No. 40 Montreal Street by building a frame wall.
Referred to the Committee on Fire Water and Gas
Ald: Wilmot presented the petition of John Mackie
and a number of others complaining of a nuisance near
the Grand Trunk Depot and praying to have it removed
Referred to the City Commissioners
Ald: Muckleston from the Committee On Finance and
accounts brought up a Report (Number 508 Book F)
which was read and adopted.
The Chairman from the Committee On Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (Number 509 Book F)
which was read
On Motion of Ald. Wilmot seconded by Ald: Gaskin
Ordered, That the report of the Streets Committee be received
and adopted as amended by the following resolution
On Motion of Ald: Robinson seconded by Ald: McCammon
Ordered, That McMahon Bros receive the tender for Hardware
