Ald: McIntyre from the Committee on Finance and
accounts brought up a Report (Number 512 Book F) which
was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Streets brought
up a Report (Number 513 Book F) which was read.

A Communication from Messrs Cannem and Clayton was
read declining to accept tender for block crossings alone

Ald: Wilmot moves seconded by Ald: Adams

That the report of the Streets and Improvements
Committee be received and adopted as amended

In amendment 1st

Ald. Gildersleeve moves seconded by Ald: McCammon

That the report be amended by awarding all
crossings to Cannem and Clayton

In Amendment 2nd

Ald: Shannon moves seconded by Ald: Gaskin

That the contract for the construction of crossings of all
kinds be given to Messrs Hutton, Newman and Hutcheson and
that the report of the Committee on Streets be amended accordingly
which being put was [underline] carried [/underline] and the first amendment was
[underline] lost [/underline], the orginal motion was also [underline] carried [/underline]

The Chairman from the Committee on City Property
brought up a Report (Number 514 Book F) which was read
[strikethrough] and adopted [/strikethrough]

On Motion of Ald. Gaskin seconded by Ald. Fennwick

Ordered, That the report 501 be reconsidered that is
that clause referring to rental of Hall by Salvation Army

On Motion of Ald: Gaskin seconded by Ald: Fenwick

Ordered, That the report of City Property be received
and adopted.

Ald: Fenwick gives notice that he will introduce a
By Law affecting the improvement and better protection of
the harbour which was read a first time.

On Motion the Council adjourned
