went into Committee of the Whole on the second reading

The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second reading of the By Law clause by clause _ The Report was received
(230) The By Law was read a third time and passed

Ald. Gildersleeve introduced a By Law respecting the
City of Kingston Water Works which was read a first time

On Motion of Ald: Gildersleeve seconded by Ald: Gaskin
Ordered, that the Mayor be authorized to appoint an
Arbitrator for the purchase of the Water lot on Ontario Street between
the Water Works property and West Street _ the same to be acquired
by and for the use of the Water Works Department

On Motion of Ald: Swift seconded by Ald: Redden
Ordered, that the Committee on Streets and Improvements
be requested to take into consideration and make a By Law providing
for the better protection of the Boulevards from trespass and
spoliation by children and others and to report at the next
regular meeting of the Council on the same

On Motion the Council adjourned
