Ald: McIntyre also brought up the Report of the Finance Committee
(Number 544 Book F] which was read and adopted.

Ald: Fenwick submitted certain questions respecting the Street
Railway Company _ which was referred to the City Engineers.

On Motion of Ald: Polson seconded by Ald: Fenwick
Ordered, that Aldn. Swift, Harty, Shannon, McCammon
Wilmot and the mover and seconders comprise a Committee to consider the
practicalitity of coverting the present resevoirs into public swimming baths and to report as to the probable expense of Management and water
supply.

On Motion of Ald: McIntyre seconded by Ald: Minnes
Ordered that the Reception Committee have power to add
to their number in respect to the reception of His Excellency
On Motion the Council adjourned

Harty, Hiscock, Miller, Minnes, Muckleston
McIntyre, Polson, Redden, Shannon, Swift
Wilmot, Wilson

The Clerk read the Minutes of the last Meeting
Communications were read as follows: _
From James Agnew City Solicitor _ Re expending money
in local improvments

From Messrs Walkem and Walkem Solicitors. Re
Street excavations

From Mr Kenland Westbrook P. O. stating he will hold
the City liable for damages for injuries alledged to
be done to Wife owing to defective Plank Walk _ Referred
to the Committee on Streets.

From Robert Reeves asking assistance from the Council
to replace a horse injured while in the employ of the City
from which he died _ Referred to the Committee
on Streets

From sundry persons Taxes _ Referred to the Court
of Revision

Ald: Swift brought up the petition of Thomas H
Rogers asking for a remission of the rent of the Ontario Hall
Referred
