Ordered, that the Committee on Fire, Water, and Gas
report on the better lighting of the City vs. the electric burning,
1st all night, second to 3 A.M and the introduction of Gas or
incandescant at various points.

Ald: Wilmot introduced a By Law to authorise the
construction of a common sewer in part of Brock Street in the
City of Kingston, as a local improvement under the provisions
of the Municipal Act in that behalf _ which was read a first time.

The Chairman on Streets submitted Report of City
Engineer Re Construction of sewer in Brock Street.

The 30th Rule of Council was suspended and the
Council went into Committee of the whole on the second
reading

Ald: Redden in the Chair
The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause _ The Report
was received
The By Law was read a third time and passed and was
signed and sealed

On Motion the Council adjourned

The Clerk read the Minutes of the last Meeting
Communications were read as follows: _
From Samuel Cunningham stating there is no
Board Walk on the South side of Young Street _ Referred
to the Committee on Streets

From James Agnew City Solicitor _ Re Gallagher
in Kingston _ action dismissed each party paying its own
costs _
From Godfrey Rayner & Co. _ Re purchasing Debentures
- ordered to be fyled.
