City Solicitor be authorized to take all necessary actions and
proceedings to enforce such forfeiture and all other remedies and
rights of the said Corporation in the premises and obtain possession
of the said land in the said lease described and that as soon
as this has been accomplished the Mayor of this City is hereby
authorised to convey to the Dominion Government by a good and
valid Deed of Conveyance in the name of the said corporation
the land, being part of the above land, described in his letter of
the 29th August last to Captain Perley Chief Engineer of the
Public Works Department and to carry out the other matters
contained in the said letter the said deed to contain a covenant
against incumbrance, and to grant the right and interest
of the said Corporation in the land in contains under the act
above referred to the said Government for the purpose of the
Dry Dock they are about to construct in the City and said
conveyance to be made without other consideration
On Motion of Ald: Fenwick the Council went into
Committee of the Whole on the second reading of the By Law
to Amend Section 704 of "the Consolidated By Laws of the City of
Kingston" and establish a new Harbourline
Ald: Shannon in the Chair
The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause in Committee _ The Report
was received
The 30th Rule was suspended and the By Law was read
a third time and was then signed and sealed
Ald: McIntyre introduced a By Law to establish
open up and make and furnish with sidewalks a public
street forty feet wide in contuation of Sixth Street South
easterly and easterly from the South easterly end of the
same to Division Street in the City of Kingston and for
expropriating the necessary lands for the said purpose
which was read a first time
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went
into Committee of the whole on the second reading

The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause in Committee _ The
Report was received
The By Law was read a third time and passed
On Motion the Council adjourned
