On Motion of Ald: Fenwick seconded by Ald: Minnes
Ordered, that Ald: Shannon be one of the Committee on
Wharves and Harbor

Ald: Muckleston moves seconded by Ald: Gaskin
that the following gentlemen be appointed as a delegation
from this Council to Ottawa to Act in conjuction with deputations
appointed by the Boards of Trade of Kingston and other Cities and
also with the Canadian Marine Association said delegation to
proceed to Ottawa at such time as may be agreed upon and when
it will be convenient to meet the Ministers for the purpose of
getting them to place the Canal Tolls at the same rate as last years
Also the necessity of having the shoals in the Harbor removed
and range lights placed making the Harbor navigable after
sundown for vessles drawing 14 feet of water and over
And also to press on Ministers the advisability of granting
reciprocity in wrecking _ the delegates to be comprised of His
Worship the Mayor Aldermen Gaskin, Gildersleeve, Harty, Shannon
and Muckleston

that the deputation to wait upon the Ministers be the
Mayor Messrs Muckleston and Gaskin _ which being put was carried [Underline]
