A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston
was held this day. Present
His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen
Carson, Cruggan, Drennan, Fenwick, Gaskin, Harty
Minnes, Muckleston, McCammon, McIntyre, Rees, C.Robinson
W.Robinson, Swift

The Mayor stated the Meeting was called to consider By-Laws

Ald: Gaskin submitted a Report of the City Engineer
Re Smith Street
and also City Engineers Certificate relative to
local improvements on Gordon and other Streets

Ald: Gaskin introduced a By Law to amend
section 497 of the By Law entitled "A By Law to Consolidate
and amend the By Laws of the Corporation of the City of Kingston
and to repeal certain By Laws" which was read a first time
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading
Ald: Harty in the Chair
The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the
second reading of the By Law clause by clause. The Report was received
The By Law was read a third time and passed

Ald: Gaskin introduced a By Law to raise by
way of loan on the credit of the debentures therein
mentioned the sum of $2605.33 for the purpose therein
mentioned which was read a first time
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went
into Committee of the whole on the second reading
Ald: Minnes in the Chair
the Council resumed
the Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause _ the Report was
received _
The By Law was read a third time and passed

Ald: Gaskin introduced a By Law to raise by
way of loan the sum of $286.48 for the purpose therein
mentioned which was read a first time
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading
Ald: Muckleston in the Chair
the Council resumed
the Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause _ the Report was
received _
The By Law was read a third time and passed

Ald: Gaskin introduced a By Law to raise by way
of Loan the sum of $759.63 for the purpose therein Mentioned
