and 2 others asking for a sewer on Johnston street - Referred
to the Committee on Streets.
Ald. Minnes from the Committee On Finance and
accounts brought up two Reports (Numbers 606 & 607
Book F) which was read.
Ald. Minnes moves seconded by Ald. Fenwick
That the Reports 1 & 2 Finance Committee be received
and adopted and that a separate vote be taken on the
exemption clause relative to Jos. Carrington
In amendment 1st:
Ald. Harty moves seconded by Ald. Shannon
That the report of the Committee of Finance & Accounts
be amended by changing the exemption being extended
to Mr. Carrington from ten to five years
In amendment 2nd.
Ald. Harty moves seconded by Ald. C Robinson
That the report of the Committee of Finance & Accounts
be amended by striking out the clause granting $300 to the
Military camp - which being put was [underline] lost [/underline].
