The meeting adjourned for want of a quorum

Gaskin, Hiscock, Minnes, McCammon, McIntyre
McLeod, Rees, C. Robinson, W. Robinson, Shannon
Wilson

The Mayor stated the Meeting was called to take up
general business

Communications were read as follows: -

From John McIntyre Esquire submitting claim of
one Benjamin Harris for injuries sustained by him by
alledged negligence of the Corporation employes on the
23 [underline] rd [/underline] of April last - Referred to the Committee on Streets
and the City Solicitor -

From E.H. Smythe Esquire Hon Secretary Kingston
Collegiate Institute enclosing Budget for the current year
Referred to the Committee On Finance and accounts

From Hugh Crumley asking the priviledge of opening
his private drain into the Union street drain free of frontage
Referred to the Committee On Streets

From George Thompson Collector of Taxes. Taxes collected
for 1888 to date. Referred to the Finance Committees

From H.R. Smith, Ellen Chatterton, William Powers
G.M. Grant, Patrick Doyle, Z. Prevost. respecting Taxes
Referred to the Court of Revision

A Declaration from James Jackson Re Billiard Table
License was submitted and referred to the Committee on Licenses

From City Commissioner reporting state of Pounds
Referred to the Committee On City Property.
