Transcription
for the watering of the streets within certain areas in the City of
Kingston and to define the said areas for the year 1889 which was
read a first time
On motion of Ald. Gildersleeve seconded by Ald. Gaskin
Ordered, That the sum of one hundred and fifty
dollars be appropriated for the reception of the Prince of Wales
Regiment of Montreal on their proposed visit to this City on
Dominion Day and that the Mayor, Aldermen Gaskin, Shannon
Swift, McCammon, Drennan and the mover with the Mayor
as Chairman be a committe in connection with such reception
with power to act
On motion the Council adjourned

From Joseph Rochfort Jr asking the Council to introduce
Waterwoks into his house on Gordon Street - Referred to the
Committee on Water Works
From Lt Col. T.P. Butler Prince of Wales Regiment
Montreal expressing his best thanks for the warm welcome given
by the Citizens of Kingston to his Regiment
From C.D. Franklin complaining of Hide house in
the vicinity of his residence - Referred to the Health officer
From Messrs Wallace and Anderson claiming $4.00
for ten sills broken. Referred to Committee on Streets
From Lt Col. Straubenzie D.A.G. calling attention to
repairs required to steps leading from the Artillery Park Barracks
to Montreal street. Referred to the Committee on Streets
