From The Hon George A. Kirkpatrick - Re transfer of
Murney Tower on certain conditions

On motion of Ald. Gildersleeve seconded by Ald. Gaskin

Ordered, That the offer of the Honourable George A
Kirkpatrick be accepted and the thanks of the Council be
tendered to him for his public spirit in respect of the same

On motion of Ald. McIntyre seconded by Ald. Gaskin

Ordered, That the communication of Hon George A Kirkpatrick
respecting the acquisition of the Murney Tower field as an adjunct to
the City Park be referred to a Select Committee consenting of Aldn
Gaskin, Minnes, Muckleston, Polson, Cruggan, Fenwick and the
mover and that the Committee in the same connection communicate
with the Dominion Government with a view to secure for the City a
permanent tenure of the present City Park and recreation grounds

From the Ladies of St. Pauls Church asking for a remission
of rent of Hall - Referred to Committee on City Property

From George Thompson Collector of Taxes stating amount
of taxes collected to date. Referred to the Committee on Finance

From Henry Folger Esquire General Manager inviting the
Mayor and Council to attend a Grand Clambake and Barbecue to be
held at Carleton Island on Wednesday July 31st. 1889.

The Clerk was directed to send the Names of the Members
of the Council to Mr. Folger

Ald. Gaskin brought up the petition of Andrew Rankin
and 6 others asking for a sewer in Dufferin street. Referred to the
Committee on Streets

Ald. Gaskin brought up the petition of William G. Anglin
and 7 others asking for removal of board walk in front of residences
Earl street

On motion of Ald. Gaskin seconded by Ald. Hiscock

Ordered, That the petition of W. G. Anglin, Michael Grady
and others asking permission to be allowed to remove their board
walk outside of shade trees on Earl street between King and
Wellington streets be granted on the condition that as soon as the
walk is removed the parties interested will at once have the space between
board walk and their residence sodded and afterwards kept in proper
condition.

From Robert J. Reid and 7 others for a sewer in Garrett street
Referred to the Committee on Streets

Ald. Gaskin brought up the petition of Andrew Rankin
and 7 others asking that the new walk on West side of Rideau
street be 6 feet wide and built outside of the boulevard

On motion of Ald Gaskin seconded by Ald. Wilson

Ordered, That the petition of Andrew Rankin, Patrick
Keating and others for a new 6 foot walk on Rideau street between
North and Charles streets and that same be placed outside of
boulevard be referred to the chairman of Cataraqui Ward with
power to act.

Ald. McIntyre brought up the petition of Geo. Hazlett
and 34 others asking that fence surrounding Victoria park be removed
