The By Law was read a third time and passed
The Council went into Committee of the whole on the
second reading of the By Law to make provisions for the watering
of the streets within certain areas in the City of Kingston and
to define the said areas for the year 1889.
Ald: Drennan in the Chair
The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause in Committee of the
whole _ The Report was received
The 30th Rule was suspended and the By Law was
read a third time and passed
On Motion the Council adjourned

of Kingston was held this day Present

McCammon, McIntyre, McLeod, Polson, C. Robinson

The Clerk read the Minutes of the last Meeting
Communicatons were read as follows: _
From I.W. Henstridge Esquire Secretary Annexation
Committee Village of Portsmouth enclosing a copy of a
resolution passed by the Council of Portsmouth giving
authority to the Committee to confer with the City Council
of Kingston for the purpose of obtaining the necessary
information.
On Motion of Ald: Harty seconded by Ald: Gaskin
Ordered, that the Committee on Finance and accounts
be authorised to meet the deputation of the Municipality
of Porstmouth to discuss the details of the Annexation
proposed in the Communication of Thomas Kelly Village
Clerk of Portsmouth
