Re a/c $21.20 for damages - Referred to the Water Works

Ald. Muckleston from the Committee On Finance
and accounts brought up three Reports (Numbers 658. 659
and 660 [insert] Book F). [/insert] which were read and adopted.

The chairmain from the Committee on Streets
brought up a Report (Number 661 Book F) which was read
and adopted.

On motion of Ald. Harty seconded by Ald. Gildersleeve

Ordered That Mr John MacKay be accepted as
Bondsman for assessor Gordon in place of Mr William
Robinson

Ald. Gildersleeve introduced a By Law to fix the
places in each Ward in the City of Kingston where the nomination
of candidates for the office of Alderman and of Public School
Trustees shall take place and to appoint Returning Officers to
hold the said nominations - which was read a first time
The 30th Rule of Council was suspended and the Council
went into Committee of the whole on the second reading

The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause - The Report was received
The By Law was read a third time and passed

Ald. Gildersleeve introduced A By Law to appoint
Deputy Retuning Officer and places for holding the next ensuing
Municipal and Public School Trustee Elections for the City of
Kingston which was read a first time
The 30th Rule was suspended and the Council went
into committee of the whole on the second reading
Ald. C. Robinson in the chair
The Council resumed
The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause - The Report was
received -
The By Law was read third time and passed

Ald. Gildersleeve introduced A By Law to raise by
way of loan the sum of $25.000 necessary for the further extension
and improvement of the City Water Works - which was read
a first time

into Committee of the whole on the second reading

The Committee rose and the Chairman reported the second
reading of the By Law clause by clause - The Report was
