Youlden Chief Engineer Fire Department be granted

From A Mills complaining of damaged fence and asking
payment for same - presented by Ald. C. Robinson - Referred to
the Committee on Streets

Alderman Minnes from the Committee On Finance and
Accounts brought up two Reports (Numbers 662 & 663 Book F)
which were read and adopted.

Ald. Drennan here entered

The Chairman from the Committee On Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (Number 664 Book F) which
was read and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee On Fire, Water and
Light brought up a Report on the cost of the City Street
Lighting and the lighting of the City Buildings and
Departments which was read.

On motion of Ald. Gildersleeve seconded by Ald. Wm Robinson

Ordered, That the report of the Chairman of the
Committee on Fire, Water and Light be received
[inserted] The Mayor here left and Ald. Shannon was chosen chairman [/inserted]

The Chairman from the Committee on the Markets\
brought up a Report (Number 665 Book F) which was read
and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Wharves
and Harbors brought up a Report (Number 666 Book F)
which was read and adopted

The Chairman from the Committee On Water
Works brought up two Reports (Numbers 667 & 668 Book F)
which were read received and adopted.

The Chairman from the Committee on Water
Works brought up a Report Re Water Rates on dwellings.

On motion of Ald. Gildersleeve seconded by Ald. C Robinson

Ordered, That the Report of the Chairman of
the Committee on Water Works be received.

The Chairman from the Committee On Fire, Water
and Light submitted a Report from the Chief Engineer
of the Fire Department, Henry Youlden - Re state of Fire
Engines

On motion of Ald. Fenwick seconded by Ald. Minnes

Ordered That the Council desires to express
its congratulations to His Worship The Mayor for his
uniformly fair and courteous conduct while occupying
the chair during the past year.

On motion the Council adjourned
