Ald: Rees brought up the petition of I.E. Hutcheson
asking for a rebate on Auctioners License _ Referred to the
Committee on Licenses

Ald: Swift from the Committee on Finance and
Acccounts brought up two Reports (Numbers 695 & 696 Book F)
which were read and adopted.

On Motion of Ald: Robinson seconded by Ald: Gaskin
Ordered that no more material be bought from the
Penitentiary for the Corporation of this City , if possible
to secure it from our own City.

Communications were here from T.O. Bolger City Engineer
and John Wright _ Re stone purchased from Penitentiary
The Chairman from the Committee on Streets and
Improvements brought up a Report (Number 697 Book F)
which was read and adopted _ and that a Report
previously passed Re Boulevards be reconsidered _

The Chairman from the Committee on Fire, Water and
Light brought up a Report (Number 698 Book F) which was
read and adopted

On Motion of Ald: James Swift seconded by Ald: McIntyre
Ordered, that the Thanks of this Council are due and
are hereby tendered to Alderman Raphael and the
reception Committee of the Council of the Corporation of
the City of Ottawa for Courtesies extended to Members of
a deputation of this Council lately at the Capitol and that
a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the City Clerk of
Ottawa

On Motion the Council adjourned

A Special Meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston was held this day. Present:
His Worship the Mayor
Aldermen:
Creegan, Fenwick, Gaskin, Minnes, Muckleston, McCammon, McIntyre, Osborne, Redden, Rees, Robinson, Shannon, Steacy, Swift, Joseph F Thompson, and Webster

The Mayor stated the meeting was called to take up unfinished business.
