Ald: Minnes moves seconded by Ald: Redden
That the report be so amended that the Water Motors
be as follows: _ Chalmers Church $25. and St Andrews $30.00
which being put was lost [Underline] as was also the first Amendment
and the orginal Motion was carried [Underline]

Ald: McIntyre brought up a Report of the Committe on
Railways brought up a Report (Number 702 Book F) which
he read and which was received and adopted

On motion of Ald: McIntyre seconded by Ald: Gaskin
Resolved, that this Council desires to place on record
its sense of obligation to the Rt. Hon. Sir John Macdonald for
the valuable assistance afforded by him to the delegates of this
Council before the Railway Committee of the House of Commons
and for the watchfulness and zeal displayed by him in protecting
the Marine and Railway interests of his constituent City and that
the Clerk forward a Copy of this resolution to the right Honorable
gentleman

The Chairman of the Select Committee on
the Murney Tower Field brought up a Report (No:
703 Book F) which was read

On Motion of Ald: McIntyre seconded by Ald: Redden
Ordered, that the report of the Select Committee
of this Council on the aquisition of the Murney Tower
Field for Park purposes be received and adopted

On Motion of Ald: Muckleston seconded by Ald: Webster
Ordered, that the Engineer report to this Council
at its next regular Meeting the number of feet of the
different sizes of drain pipes used during the year
1889, also the number of level junctions and T's the
locality where such pipes were used amd the quantity
of pipes on hand at present.

Ald: Rees introduced a By Law to amend
the By Law passed on the 7th day of October 1889
entitled "A By Law to amend section 139 of "the Consolidated
By Laws of the City of Kingston which was read a first
